Erskine's commitment to Stockholm University began with Allhuset for the student union (1974–81) and the library (1974–83). The structuralism that had characterized the university's buildings was now contrasted with more organically shaped elements. They were designed in close collaboration with the users, a process that suited Erskine well. He enjoyed letting other people's ideas enrich the projects. He was constantly looking for functions that could be transformed into gestures. The results were often very expressive, such as in the balconies for reading that enrich the large university library. In 1978 the sports hall was added and in 1990 the law student's house. The ensemble was crowned in 1997 with the auditorium Aula Magna, see separate presentation.
